HEPA filters come in a few different types.

HEPA filters provide filtration of smaller particles than traditional vacuum cleaner filters. It is capable of catching particles invisible to the naked eye. HEPA filters come in a few different types.

True HEPA, sealed HEPA, and HEPA type filters are all available in many models. Basically HEPA is a type of filter that can trap a large amount of very small particles that other vacuum cleaners would simply recirculate back into the Air. A hepa air cleaner tends to draw towards its filter those allergens which are already air borne. On the other hand a hepa vacuum cleaner will clean up those allergens and dust which have settled on furniture floors and carpets
